MF 8600 Series

A new experience

The most important objective during the development of the MF 8600 Series tractor was to produce a machine with uncompromised power and a multitude of innovative features; creating a totally new operator experience
The MF 8600 Series has seriously modern, dynamic looks, which offset its immense structure. At the heart of the machine is a muscular, six-cylinder AGCO SISU POWER engine and award-winning Dyna-VT transmission.Protecting your investment is a new cast front axle support, heavier-duty front axle with optional QuadLink front suspension and a tough new chassis-rail structure. There are many new and innovative characteristics that set the MF 8600 apart from the competition; all of which guarantee the highest productivity and optimum performance.  Cleaner, more productive and economic ‘AGCO SISU POWER’ engines are at the heart of every MF 8600 Series tractor, guaranteeing precise power and high performance. The 4-valve, common rail AGCO SISU POWER engine provides the ultimate in optimum power delivery, with the benefit of a turbocharged intercooler. With exceptional ‘constant power’ and torque backup, the engine keeps all of its productivity and strength, but with the added advantages of lower emissions and improved fuel economy. Intelligent engine management All AGCO SISU POWER engines feature new generation, latest technology, ‘Tier III-compliant Electronic Engine Management (EEM). This enables continuous adjustment of the amount and timing of fuel injected, in relation to engine speed and load. The results are lower emissions, more power and superb fuel economy. EEM also enables a range of advanced engine control functions, including Engine Speed Control, which is standard on MF 8600 Series tractors. Extra power The extra power feature provides more power at 2,000 rev/min than at 2,200 rev/min. This is consistent with PTO speed so that maximum power is available for all PTO applications. Engine speed control Switches mounted conveniently on the right-hand console enable engine speed to be pre-set and memorised. The ability to return quickly and easily to precise engine speeds will boost productivity, improve work quality and simplify operation in almost all of your daily tasks. Improved fuel economy The Electronic Engine Management system constantly monitors a wide range of parameters and makes continual and incredibly fine adjustments to fuel injection. Combined with high pressure ‘common rail’ fuel injection and the 4-valve cylinder head design, this has given further significant improvements, not only in emissions but also in fuel economy. The cooling system A highly efficient cooling system ensures that the engine itself works to its fullest capacity regardless of the application. The fully-vented bonnet allows the engine to breathe even in dusty, dirty conditions. A large air filter maintains cleanliness within the engine, allowing for higher productivity and savings on fuel consumption.
It’s more important than ever to be part of the environmental solution
Through pioneering technology, Massey Ferguson, AGCO SISU POWER engines and Bosch have created the most economical and ecological off-road diesel engine in the world; creating the opportunity to own a machine that is less harmful to you, your livelihood and the environment. While still being cost efficient and performance-perfect, the AGCO SISU POWER e 3 engine in the MF 8600 range is well ahead of its time both in emissions regulations and in fuel efficiency, resulting in the ultimate high horsepower tractor of the future. Featuring Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system which is widely used within the road transport industry, AGCO SISU POWER’s e 3 SCR engine technology significantly reduces exhaust pollutants and fuel consumption.

The technology of tomorrow, today

Selective Catalytic Reduction used in conjunction with AGCO SISU POWER engines means an end to damaging emissions and high fuel costs
How does the system work? The SCR system on AGCO SISU POWER e 3 engines treats the exhaust gases that would normally enter and damage the atmosphere, using AdBlue ® diesel exhaust fluid. AdBlue is metered in precise quantities and is injected via the Bosch control system into the exhaust, which includes a catalytic converter. Simple to use, easy to maintain There’s nothing complicated about the SCR system. It’s incredibly easy to control and maintain. The AdBlue is held in a separate tank located next to the fuel tank and is consumed at the maximum rate of 3% AdBlue to diesel, the AdBlue tank only needs to be filled every second fuel tank fill. A 600 litre container of AdBlue is enough to treat 20,000 litres of diesel safely whilst still allowing for optimum performance throughout. Selective Catalytic Reduction can cut fuel consumption by a minimum of 5% compared to equivalent engines using alternative emission reduction systems. On average, this is the equivalent to thousands of litres of fuel saved every year. Reduced fuel consumption means a significant reduction in carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) emissions. Due to highly optimised combustion, particulate emissions are over 83% lower than current legislation demands. This is exceptionally beneficial for the environment and to people’s health. Other gaseous emissions, such as hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide (CO) emissions, are lower than generally in Stage 3A engines, making this engine safe and future proof. The characteristics of the SCR system means that optimised combustion generates around 15% less heat. This reduction in heat means the cooling package is lighter and more efficient. The life span of SCR equipment is equal to the engine’s lifetime, and the system is practically service free. The operator hardly notices the presence of SCR at all. What the operator will notice however, is the significant savings in operating costs. SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) technology will be essential for meeting the strictest emissions limits at the beginning of the next decade, whilst saving money on rising fuel costs and protecting the environment for the next generation.

Infinite wisdom

Dyna-VT is built around careful, thoughtful design that gives optimum durability to the machine and total operator comfort to you. Ensuring maximum productivity, reduced physical strain on the operator and optimum fuel efficiency at all times. Stepless precision Dyna-VT is intuitive; not only does it make life easier when working in differing conditions but it’s also amazingly simple to use. There’s no shifting of gears, no jolts and no breaks in traction or power. Constantly in control The unique power control lever makes forward/reverse shuttling and speed change convenient and hassle-free; when baling and foraging, for example, you can choose to control the machine by foot pedal or, depending on conditions and specific applications the operator has a choice of operating modes. Pre-set speed control Forward and reverse speed and rate of acceleration can be pre-set within each of two ranges. By using SV1 and SV2 and ‘pre-setting’, the speed will be maintained automatically and also memorised at engine shutdown. Headland turns, loader work and many more field operations become faster, easier and less tiring. The ‘Supervisor’ The ‘Supervisor’ is on continuous stand-by and activates when engine speed falls under load. The benefit of the ‘Supervisor’ is that even when the load on the engine is increased and engine speed drops, the transmission will automatically reduce forward speed to maintain total power, whether in PTO applications, fieldwork or transportation. When used in conjunction with SV1 and SV2, which set a specified forward speed, the tractor will then operate at maximum output as load fluctuates. Fine adjustments can be made on-the-move as response is immediate, making numerous applications hassle-free. Dynamic Tractor Management (DTM) - Intelligent machine management for optimum fuel efficiency To keep you in constant control and comfort we now offer Dynamic Tractor Management (DTM), a new feature, which works in conjunction with Dyna-VT. This electronic management system will automatically control the engine and transmission when activated.DTM controls the engine speed according to the load on the tractor. It maintains the required forward speed whilst at the same time minimising the engine revs in order to keep fuel consumption to a minimum. DTM will manage the engine between 800-2260 rpm but it can manually set an upper or lower speed limit in which the DTM will still work exceptionally well. The system works in harmony with Dyna-VT, allowing you the option of lever or pedal modes. Dyna-VT and Dynamic Tractor Management (DTM) will work consistently at maximum efficiency and economy whilst maintaining a smoother drive quality and a noticeable reduction in fuel consumption.

 In-Cab excellence

Like its exterior, the MF 8600’s interior is modern, uncluttered and ergonomically sound, offering you the ultimate operating space. This spacious cab has been specifically designed with the operator’s comfort and well-being in mind. We understand that you may spend many hours in your tractor, so it’s important to feel relaxed within a pleasant environment. The ‘Panorama’ cab features a purposeful layout, with superb instrumentation, intuitive Dyna-VT controls and levers and switches thoughtfully grouped on the new armrest to the right of the operator. The ‘Panorama’ cab now boasts four pillars rather than six so visibility is unrestricted. The cab is now 28% more spacious, compared to that of the MF 8400 Series tractor. Significantly improved ride quality As well as an extremely comfortable drivers seat, the MF 8600 cab is fitted with a brand new 4-point suspension system. It uses the latest in hydraulic ram and accumulator technology, through the use of sensors, which intelligently provides information to ensure the cab is at an even level. For even more comfort you may prefer the award-winning OptiRide Plus as an option. This allows the operator to completely control the level of damping through the dial in the cab. Via a number of sensors and data collected through the tractor CAN-BUS, the system will automatically adjust the damping of the cab suspension. Information on rolling and pitching is fed to the ‘central cab suspension control box’, which maintains damping and can provide up to 25% more comfort.

More productivity, enhanced comfort

You’ll always find the usual necessities within our cabs but we always strive to push operator comfort to the next level. That’s why you’ll find new features that will help to make the working day a lot less stressful.
The ‘Panorama’ cab is 28% larger, allowing the operator more room to move around easily and comfortably in the cab. This extra space makes provision for the newly styled ergonomic armrest which can be positioned precisely for operator comfort. The single, wide door and unobstructed flat floor provides excellent access at all times. It’s quiet too, with low in-cab noise levels under load. Fine-tuning of the machine means noise quality has been improved considerably. The control centre For added convenience, the control centre next to the armrest houses the controls for PTO, front and rear linkage, draft and position control and steering settings. By encasing these controls within the panel prevents any risk of accidental operation. Datatronic Control Centre Display The Datatronic 4-Control Centre Display (CCD) has a perfectly positioned 7” colour monitor. Mounted on the armrest, it is fully adjustable to allow optimum viewing of all the tractor’s functions. The operator area within the MF 8600 Series cab is built to the highest levels of comfort and usability. As you would expect, the instrument panel is clear and concise and has been designed for optimum visibility. It’s mounted conveniently on the telescopic steering column along with the multi-function lever, dot matrix controls and ‘Power Control’ lever. All of which can be tilted so everything moves with your body’s movement for comfort and extra control. The instrument panel has two main digital displays as well as an analogue rev counter. All main tractor warning functions can be viewed from here as well as engine coolant temperature, oil pressure, AdBlue and fuel tank levels, so you are always in total control of your machine. Little extras make a big difference Sometimes it’s the little things that can make a huge difference to how you work every day. The MF 8600 suspended cab is available with numerous features including a cool box, extra plug sockets for mobile phones and laptops, radio and CD player, air suspended swivel seat, telescopic side mirrors and electric de-icing. Optional extras include CD Player with MP3 compatibility, Dynamic suspended cab, super-deluxe air suspended seat and automatic air conditioning. Solar energy for extra power A new solar panel, located on the cab roof, is just another cost- effective and environmentally- friendly way to get the most from your machine. The solar panel will compensate for any natural battery loss and will maintain a full battery all-year-round, even when the tractor is not in use. There’s no need to worry about cold start in the winter. The solar panel uses only 100% renewable energy and will maintain battery longevity.

Meeting operational demands precisely

With power, versatility and durability of operation as key design criteria, the PTO system has a standard specification that meets all operational demands.New Front PTO A new front PTO is now available as an option across the range. With 6 splines at a PTO speed of 1000 rev/min, the combination of robust front linkage and various PTO options will intensify productivity and flexibility. High specification PTO Fully independent 540 Eco/1000 rev/min or 1000/1000 Eco rev/ min PTO is available. Additional fender-mounted engagement and emergency stop buttons also give added convenience and safety. Power with economy Nominal PTO speeds are achieved at, or near to, 2000 rev/min which is also maximum engine power. With the benefit of a ‘constant power’ band of up to 600 revs and the ability, with Dyna-VT, to precisely select any ground speed at the chosen engine speed, you can always achieve a perfect match of PTO speed, forward speed and power – with optimum economy. Economy PTO For lighter duty work, ‘540 Eco’ or ‘1000 Eco’ PTO speed is achieved at around 1600 engine revs, further improving fuel economy and helping to reduce in-cab noise levels. Automated PTO control In ‘Auto’ mode, the PTO is automatically disengaged when the linkage is raised (or when travelling at speeds above 25 km/h and re-engaged when the linkage is lowered. Further reducing the need for operator input, the Transmission Controller monitors and controls PTO engagement depending on load. This gives a smoother ‘take- up’, giving improved driver comfort and also helping to protect both implement and tractor from damage due to inappropriate engagement. Differential locks and 4-wheel drive The Transmission Controller also takes care of many of the normally repetitive tasks of 4-wheel drive and differential lock operation. The system also engages the differential lock when you need it; when the implement is lowered into work and disengages it when you don’t. QuadLink suspended front axle Now fitted as standard on all MF 8600 Series tractors, the QuadLink front axle has excellent ground clearance and maintains good turning angles even with larger tyre sizes. Accurate, precise steering All MF 8600 Series tractors are equipped with hydrostatic steering which provides light, positive and accurate steering under all operating circumstances.SpeedSteer - for exact turns This new, optional feature enables the operator to adjust the steering ratio and select the number of turns of the steering wheel required for a given amount of steering angle turns. The system can be switched on and off. Above 18 km/h, it automatically switches off for safe operation at high speed in the field and on the road. Auto-Guide for faster, precision farming The optional Auto-Guide satellite navigation system uses leading GPS technology to guide your tractor and implements at higher rates of speed and accuracy. This is especially valuable for more accurate operation at night, in low visibility or when working in pre- emergent crops. Auto-Guide steers the tractor, without operator input, to make parallel bouts avoiding overlap or un-worked land. This reduces driver fatigue and fuel usage, eliminates unnecessary chemical application and can significantly increase productivity.

Responsiveness is second nature

We have always been industry leaders when it comes to hydraulics and linkage. In part, it’s what we’re famous for but our continual refinement of the Massey Ferguson linkage system means more productivity, power and responsiveness, for the operator, in the field.
More accurate draft control Massey Ferguson’s digital ELC system gives the highest standards of draft control with more accurate depth settings and better ground contour following. The result is more weight transfer, better traction, less wheel slip, reduced tyre wear and reduced fuel consumption whilst still maintaining greater output. Convenient controls Frequently used controls and the ELC control panel are mounted on the armrest for straightforward, accurate operation. The system incorporates advanced integrated features such as sensitivity, quick soil engagement and automatic drop speed as standard. For faster implement attachment the rear linkage can also be operated from push buttons on each rear fender. Fast hydraulic response The Closed Centre Load-Sensing (CCLS) hydraulic system provides 175 l/min oil flow for both linkage and external services with virtually instantaneous response, with no wasted power - or fuel. Implement hook-up is simple, with ‘decompression hydraulic couplers’ that enable equipment to be connected and disconnected under pressure. Auxiliary spool valves Four electro-hydraulic valves are fitted as standard and a further 6 rear spool valves are available if required, the Fingertip Spool Valve Management System enables complex equipment to be controlled with ease and precision. Separate spools are dedicated to the operation of the front linkage, and front couplers, as well as the dromone auto hitch when specified. Power beyond Built into the CCLS spool block is the ‘Power beyond’ facility. Extra flow and return pipes provide oil flow directly from the pump, enabling additional remote spool valves to be connected.Standard Active Transport Control (ATC) When driving across the headland or transporting heavy mounted equipment, implement ‘bounce’ can occur. Active Transport Control is a shock-absorbing system which minimises the ‘pitching’ action – automatically adjusting for different implement weights. This gives smoother, safer, faster transport and, by reducing shock loads through the lift rams and hydraulic circuits, also minimises the risk of damage to the lift system. ATC and QuadLink ATC operates in conjunction with the QuadLink suspended front axle to give exceptional stability when transporting or operating mounted equipment at speed, giving greater comfort, safety and productivity. Highly specified rear axle and linkage Like everything else on the MF 8600 Series, the rear axle and 3-point linkage are highly specified. Twin external lift rams, high visibility pick-up hitch and drawbar, quick-attach hook top and lower links, external linkage control on both rear fenders, twin variable float telescopic stabilisers and three spool valves are all standard equipment. Rear linkage lift capacity is an immense 12,000kg. Ex ceptionally powerful brakes As you would expect, a tractor range as powerful as the MF 8600 Series needs an extraordinarily strong braking system. All models are fitted with oil immersed, power-assisted disc brakes which give reassuring, fade-free braking, even with heavy loads. Optional factory-fitted pneumatic trailer brakes can be fitted, adding comfort and safety when driving with heavy loads at high speeds. Integrated Front Linkage System (IFLS) MF 8600 Series tractors come complete with a brand new, fully integrated front linkage system. This new system has been consolidated into the overall design of the machine and complements the front suspension perfectly. Two front hydraulic couplers with dedicated spool valves provide hydraulic service for implements and, with an overall lift capacity of over 5,000 kg, the MF 8600 Series tractors’ immense capability can easily handle heavy-duty applications.

FASTRAC

We start by listening to you. You tell us you need greater productivity and performance to increase your earning power. We bring you the new generation Fastrac. Not content to update existing models or concepts, we develop new solutions that meet your needs, now and in the future. No other agricultural machinery manufacturer shows a greater commitment to this than JCB Agriculture. The Fastrac models surpass every other machine on the market. But it doesn ’t stop there. By continually challenging accepted knowledge, we will keep on developing more effective machines to overcome even more of the obstacles you face every day.
The Fastrac concept Since it started production in 1991, the JCB Fastrac has been continually evolving to meet new market demands. However, the original Fastrac principles remain firmly intact: Full suspension – The JCB Fastrac is still the only draught tractor with full front and rear suspension. This system not only offers unparalleled ride comfort for both the operator and implement, but also improves traction without the need to add dead weight. Disc brakes – Any vehicle capable of high speed needs to be able to stop. Fastrac is no exception. With truck standard braking on all models you can be confident that you’re going to stop when you need to, time and time again. The external disc brakes offer excellent heat dissipation and dramatically outperform the oil-immersed systems found on conventional tractors. The ABS system* offers unrivalled control in all conditions. Full chassis construction – Another feature unique to Fastrac, this means that unlike a conventional tractor the engine and transmission are not stressed, loadbearing components. All of the above, combined with mechanical power-assisted steering on the 3000 Series and 8000 Series, allow Fastracs to travel at high-speed, up to 80kph (50mph) where laws permit. In fact, in many territories the Fastrac is still the only true agricultural tractor legally capable of such high speed.
Suspension and chassis The Fastrac’s unique, vibration-free suspension system increases the efficiency of both operator and implements. Meanwhile, the dynamic axle mounting system ensures implements remain stable and isolated from jolts for higher in-field operating speeds and greater productivity. All Fastracs feature load-compensating, self-levelling rear suspension. The chassis is lowered in relation to the rear axle as weight is applied. Then the ride height corrector valves allow oil flow in, pressurising the hydraulic cylinders and steadily restoring original ride height as well as stiffening the suspension to accommodate the extra weight. As load is taken off the deck, ride height corrector valves are displaced in the opposite direction, restoring height to the pre-set level. So when water empties from a de-mount sprayer, for example, the suspension continually corrects itself, maintaining a constant height between spray nozzle and crop. All Fastracs feature a chassis designed for strength, stability and load carrying ability. The fully welded, Z-section design copes with stress without excessive increase in weight. Together with improved weight distribution, this makes it better suited to carrying large implements than a more conventional, stressed heavycasting design. On 8000 and 3000 Series machines, the chassis design also ensures optimum visibility to the front while a stiffened front end improves handling on the road. Finally, heavy-duty front suspension on the 8000 and 3000 Series incorporates the twin calliper braking system. On 3000 Series machines add to this optional heavy-duty rear suspension for an increase in gross vehicle weight of up to 12 tonnes depending on tyre equipment, whilst the 8000 Series has a standard GVW of 16 tonnes.
Engine innovation 8000 Series and 3000 Series machines both feature Sisu 6-cylinder engines - 8.4 litres on the 8000, 7.4 litres on the 3000 - offering more power and torque at low revs, combined with fuel efficiency and low noise levels. The result is machines that are kind to the environment and to your wallet, supplying exactly the right level of power to keep running costs low for enhanced profitability. Plus, they increase your output, with the ability to power even the largest implements and perform in the toughest conditions. The wet cylinder sleeve design and advanced piston rings can reduce oil consumption by up to 30% and ensure uniform quality. Protecting your investment and maximising your revenue. With some engines around the world still working, without any major overhaul and with in excess of 32,000 hours, you can be sure of the consistent performance and proven reliability these engines will deliver. 8000 and 3000 Series machines also use SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) technology to achieve Tier 4 interim (Stage IIIB) compliance. SCR uses AdBlue®, a urea-based solution, injected into the exhaust gas to drastically reduce NOx and particulates. This helps protect the environment, reduce input costs and lowers fuel consumption. By separating engine timing and exhaust after-treatment, SCR also optimises combustion. 2000 Series machines are powered by a Cummins 6.7-litre engine which, like the Sisu, uses 4 valve per cylinder technology and air-to-air cooling. The Cummins also features a rear-driven geartrain which dramatically reduces external engine noise.
2000 Series machines all feature the Smoothshift transmission with Selectronic and Autoshift. The Smoothshift system features a multi-plate, oil-immersed wet clutch which requires exceptionally low driver effort, either with the clutch pedal or the Autoshuttle button. With its ability to combine range and direction changes, Selectronic is totally unique to JCB. Speed range is pre-selected by twisting the steering-columnmounted selector lever, while moving the lever forward or backwards selects direction. Actual engagement does not take place until the clutch pedal is fully depressed or the Autoshuttle button is pressed and travel speed has fallen to 3kph or less. This prevents inadvertent range or direction changes occurring at speed. When compared to manual shifting, Selectronic and Autoshuttle both greatly improve operating efficiency. For example, direction change can be preselected when carrying out headland turns, leaving you free to concentrate on plough turnover. The 6-speed gearbox makes shifting through the gears easy, while priority flow lubrication gives long-term reliability. An electronic control system helps to ensure smooth gear changes under load - add in the Autoshift function and you can make these changes automatically under any load conditions. Autoshift allows you to automatically select between snail, tortoise and hare whilst on the move. Autoshift also features five modes tailored to suit particular job types: trailer, ploughing, 540 PTO, 1000 PTO and user mode.
P-TRONIC transmission Designed and produced by JCB for the 3000 Series, P-TRONIC is a 24-speed semi-powershift transmission. In the field, the broad range of working gears means you always have the right gear for the job, enabling you to achieve the most efficient, productive performance. While on the road, the machine drives like an automatic car with speeds of up to 80kph* (50mph). In addition, Hill Hold gives effortless start/stop on an incline, while the Efficient Transport model runs at reduced revs at higher speeds to reduce fuel consumption. The P-TRONIC gearbox features a multi-plate, oil-immersed wet clutch for smooth, clutchless changes. Behind this sits the 6-speed powershift gears which offer a wide spread of shifts in each range. The compact gearbox reduces weight and saves space, while CAN-BUS technology communicates between engine and transmission to allow the tractor to select the most appropriate gear for the engine load and operation. The P-TRONIC is also extremely easy to operate, with a full-colour touchscreen giving access to three transmission modes, which allow you to get optimum performance from the machine: Powershift - full manual control, using the seat-mounted joystick to shift up and down gears and ranges. Autoshift - simply set the required gears and the tractor automatically shifts up or down depending on conditions and engine load, maximising fuel economy and productivity. Drive - in C & D range, engine load, speed, transmission status and position of the foot pedal are constantly assessed and the highest gear selected for optimum fuel economy, unless the system senses you need more power by the position of the throttle.
V-TRONIC transmission The V-TRONIC is a continuously variable transmission that allows you to fine tune engine speed to get implements working at optimum performance levels. It means you can run engines at lower speeds for greater fuel economy and reduced running costs to keep you more profitable. And it gives the operator a more comfortable ride, for daylong productivity. The V-TRONIC has two ranges: one for field operations, one for high-speed operations. The system offers effortless manual control using the armrestmounted joystick. Alternatively, a suite of automatic cruise control features allows you to achieve maximum performance and economy, simplifying the task and allowing the operator to give it his full attention. Plus, by allowing the transmission and engine electronics to communicate, the tractor can control both automatically if required, helping to achieve maximum performance or economy. The transmission has a choice of four modes selectable via the touchscreen: Drive – the transmission behaves like an automatic car, perfect for travelling between fields or for transport work. This includes an on-road cruise control for longer journeys. Manual – using the joystick controller the operator has full, extremely precise control of the transmission. Powershift – the transmission emulates a traditional powershift with 15 forward/12 reverse ‘gears’ in low range and 10 forward/7 reverse in high range. Ideal for operators who are used to conventional powershift transmissions as they require very little training. Flexi – the operator sets the engine speed and maximum forward speed that can be achieved. The foot throttle is then used to vary forward speed between zero and the maximum forward speed setting. Ideal for harvesting operations. V-TRONIC also offers two additional load-sensing cruise control modes: Auto 1 and Auto 2 – automatically maintain a set speed for field applications, just press and hold the green button to save the working speed and the tractor automatically reduces engine rpm to the most efficient point to minimise input costs. Rev hold mode – maintains revs and varies tractor speed up to the predefined limit to get maximum output. A brand new feature for the 8000 Series is Activ Traction: designed to minimise wheel slip, automatically slowing the machine down to regain grip and then speeding up again, to improve in-field traction. Activ Traction is included as part of the radar in the field performance package.
Hydraulics 8000 Series and 3000 Series Fastracs feature a load-sensing variable displacement auxiliary hydraulic pump as standard, with an optional maximum flow of 195 litres/min for the 8000 series and 126 litres/min for the 3000 series. 2000 Series models feature fixed displacement auxiliary hydraulic pumps that develop at least 99 litres/min of flow. On all models, further hydraulic pumps provide oil for steering, suspension, PTOs and difflocks. All Fastracs can be fitted with three or four 4-position, double-acting zero-leak spool valves, which feature a float position. Plus, a separate hydraulic system for auxiliary services means there is no danger of oil contamination. The 2000 Plus, 3000 Series and 8000 Series also feature electronically controlled spool valves which let you adjust time and flow for automatic control of implements. Optional on 8000 and 3000 machines is the load-sensing power beyond connection, suitable for implements that use their own spool valve control blocks. Priority flow is available as an option on these two models. On the 2000 Series, there is also the option of a hydraulic flow divider, ideal for powering the hydraulic motor on a drill or a sprayer. The rear linkage on all Fastracs uses Bosch Hitchtronic digital sensing to help maintain precise control of implement height, depth, lowering speed and general response. Plus, wheel slip control is available with the optional performance monitor, allowing maximum progress to be achieved even in the toughest conditions. All Fastrac models are now available with a category 2 front linkage. On the 3000 Series and 8000 Series this also has the luxury of electronic controls, with both single and double actuation at the flick of a switch, as well as height, depth and linkage operating speed controls.
3000 Series interior Thanks to our suspension system, conventional tractors simply cannot compete with the Fastrac on comfort and control. Every Fastrac cab comes with two full-size seats as standard, with the option for a deluxe heated suspension seat, and there are lots of added extras such as an optional fridge. Air conditioning, fitted as standard, excellent ventilation and a powerful heater add to operator comfort, while better heat isolation between cab and bonnet results in a cooler environment with less air con effort. Plus, optional solar glass treatment minimises solar load to improve air conditioning efficiency and, again, maximise comfort. Even in dry environments, a full dust filter provides clean fresh air. Sophisticated, informative and easy to use, the ergonomically designed controls are all positioned for maximum convenience. On all machines, the JCB Electronic Monitoring System (EMS) an easy-to-understand performance assessment of numerous machine functions to keep the operator up to date with machine productivity. In addition, an optional performance monitor displays fuel consumption, wheel slip and area covered, allowing the operator to maximise fuel economy and minimise tyre wear. For enhanced operator comfort, the cab is isolated from the chassis by four flexible mountings to reduce noise and transmission vibration. The new Sisu engine, which operates at lower revs, also results in lower in-cab noise levels for reduced operator fatigue. Doors are fitted at both sides, and wellpositioned steps and rails make entry and exit easy and safe. Visibility is also excellent. The main area of the front screen is laminated glass, with toughened glass lower screens giving a view of the front wheels and front-mounted implements. Meanwhile, the advanced optional Xenon lighting package replicates daylight and allows all lights to be used simultaneously; prolonging the working day with little risk of driver fatigue.

8000 Series interior This 8000 Series cab is the largest and most comfortable available. Bar none. It provides incredible legroom and more space for storing all the tools and equipment you need. For the operator, there is an incredibly comfortable air-suspension seat with a seat-mounted control panel and touchscreen monitor keeping all operations conveniently close to hand. Fully automatic climate control allows you to set the desired temperature which the system then works to maintain. Plus there is Fastrac’s unique full-size passenger seat. Ahead of the operator sits a slimline instrument panel with a combination of digital and quick-glance-analogue readings of key machine status information, plus an array of essential warning lights. Back on the armrest, operators can enjoy some of those little essentials of modern life, such as an MP3 player connection and mobile phone charge point. Options give customers the chance to further enhance comfort and performance by adding, for example, a performance monitor, headland management system, additional worklights, heated front and rear windscreens, driver’s seat and electric mirrors. This advanced cab also maxmises visibility, with a four-post instead of six-post design that eliminates side pillars, along with deeper doors and larger windows, giving a clear all-round view of implements, terrain and potential obstructions. At night, new optional Xenon worklights illuminate the surrounding area for longer potential working hours. Visibility has also been optimised by positioning the exhaust stack alongside the right-hand cab pillar. Plus, mounting the stack on the tractor chassis alone, with no brackets or other supports, helps to reduce noise and vibration to exceptionally low levels. The new Sisu engine which operates at lower revs also lowers in-cab noise.
